David Sixt Photography http://www.davidsixtblog.com Just another WordPress weblog Fri, 18 May 2012 21:29:02 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.1 The JW Hosts Anna and Randy’s Nuptials http://www.davidsixtblog.com/2012/05/18/the-jw-hosts-anna-and-randys-nuptials/ http://www.davidsixtblog.com/2012/05/18/the-jw-hosts-anna-and-randys-nuptials/#comments Fri, 18 May 2012 21:29:02 +0000 admin http://www.davidsixtblog.com/?p=2705 It could not have been a better day for Anna and Randy.  The spectacular JW Marriott looked fabulous for their romantic outdoor wedding.  Anna’s father walked her up the flower strewn aisle to meet Randy and they proclaimed their love for each other and became husband and wife before a crowd of special friends and wonderful families.  After a cocktail hour on the lawn (the weather was perfect) everyone adjourned to the Cibolo Ballroom for dinner and dancing.  The meal was deliciously prepared by the hotel’s wonderful chef and was enjoyed by all.  The joyous couple danced and celebrated the night away and at midnight ran through a gauntlet of sparklers to end this special evening. Scott Fitzgerald novel.  Shana was gorgeous as she descended the staircase to meet Jason on the front porch for their “first look”.  It was truly an emotional first meeting.  I could sense the love they have for each other.  This was a day they both had dreamed about.  After they became husband and wife under a canopy of live oaks they were treated to a delicious seated dinner by Fresh Horizons catering.  The rest of the evening was spent enjoying friends and dancing under the stars to the great sounds of the “Oh So Good Band”.  A special thanks to Betty Parish of the Wedding Planners for organizing the day, Tom Cardenas of RTC Floristry for adding his special floral touch, Event Ignition for creating a romantic lighting mood, and Infinity Video for adding life to the scene.  I hope everyone enjoys the few images below.  Should you be so inclined to view all of the images just click this LINK.

Cassie was radiant as her proud father escorted her to the altar to meet Clayton. After the emotional ceremony everyone adjourned to the historic Pearl Stables for dinner and dancing. Page Barteau’s catering staff treated everyone to a delicious meal. With their hunger satisfied the guests danced the night away to the rockin’ sounds of San Antonio’s Groove City band. A very big thank you goes to RTC Floristry, and The Wedding Planners for making this day very special for everyone. The property was very special to her since she spent most of her childhood at this home. I have to admit this was one the most fun sessions I have had in a while. They were a blast to work with and I think, together, we captured some great images that show their energy and their love for each other. I am looking forward to a wonderful wedding with all of their friends and family. Enjoy a few of the images from the session.

After the pronouncement Peter swept Amanda up and carried her across the threshold.  All guests filed through the home to congratulate the happy couple and adjourned into the back yard for a reception honoring them.  The yard was transformed into a romantic setting for dinner and dancing by Steven Pizzini.  The exquisite dinner was provided by Absolutely Delicious. Rachel was stunning in her gorgeous Vera Wang gown and Santiago was the ever dashing groom dressed in formal tails. Brooke and her staff at the hotel made sure all was perfect for them as they were announced to their guests as husband and wife. Rachel was swept into his arms as they danced their first dance to a song composed by Santiago himself. Later that evening Santiago stepped to the bandstand, took one of the member’s guitars and serenaded his surprised bride to “You, My Browned Eyed Girl”. This brought the house down.

The rest of the evening was magical as everyone dined and danced the night away. This day was truly a day where love abounded. Thanks, Rachel, for allowing me to be a part of such a special day in your lives. God bless you both.

Following dinner everyone danced the night away to the sounds of Third Language from Austin.  Earlier in the day Bridget prepared for her wedding at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel with her gorgeous bridesmaids.  Once ready, Bridget met Adam for their “First Glance” at the foot of the hotel’s staircase.  They spent a few precious moments alone before the excitement of day began.  All formal images were complete prior to the wedding giving Bridget and Adam maximum time to enjoy their guests and loved ones.  I hope you enjoy a few of the “special” photographs of the day.  To view all of the photographs that tell their complete story please click this LINK.
