Lilia and Brandon’s wedding was truly one memorable day. The spectacular JW Marriott served as the headquarters for this special event. Hair, makeup, and dressing all occurred here. Once the wedding party was prepared for the day we set aside a small window of time for Lilia and Brandon to quietly meet for a special intimate moment before we began the photography. All pre-wedding images were done on the grounds of the JW, Marriott’s flagship resort. The family, wedding party and all of their hotel guests were then transported to Our Lady of Grace Church in historic Monte Vista where Lilia and Brandon exchanged their vows and became man and wife before a standing room only sanctuary. After the ceremony we all traveled back to the hotel where we celebrated into the night with dinner and dancing. The day was magical and I am honored to share a few of the images on my blog. This past Saturday Cates and Riley became our inaugural wedding for 2012.  The first Saturday in January was a stellar day for a wedding.  This beautiful event began at the San Antonio Country Club with pre-wedding photographs.  We then moved to the historic St. Mark’s Episcopal Church for the wedding.  Afterwards everyone celebrated at SACC.  Wesley, from SACC, and Betty Parish, from The Wedding Planners, oversaw the reception.  As always dinner was outstanding. After everyone’s appetite was satisfied,  Blind Date hit the stage and provided the dance music all night long.  What a wonderful beginning to the New Year celebrating with such a fantastic couple.  I hope you enjoy a few of the special images from the evening.  If you want to see all of their photographs just click this LINK.

Jessica and Tim exchanged their vows in the historic San Fernando Cathedral with Archbishop Gomez conducting the mass. The church has been newly renovated and provided a very special setting for Jessica. Her family have been life-long Catholics and very active in San Antonio’s Catholic community. Prior to the wedding Jessica and everyone involved prepared themselves at The Hotel Contessa. We then captured the pre-wedding images on the festive San Antonio River. After committing themselves to each other before an overflowing congregation everyone adjourned to The Oak Hills Country Club and enjoyed a fabulous seated dinner prepared by Debbie and her staff. Cathy Young’s cake was served for dessert. The rest of the evening was spent dancing to the rockin’ sounds of Austin’s Blind Date. I hope you enjoy a few of the images below. Traveling to Laredo is always special for us.  We have met many wonderful couples and special families from that border town.  The city is unique and the people are so hospitable.  Our stay there is always a pleasure. The past weekend was no exception.  Kristina and David were married on the grounds of the Heritage Museum just a short walk from the famous La Posada Hotel.  We captured there pre-wedding images on the grounds of the hotel and then walked to the museum for the wedding and reception.  I hope you enjoy a glimpse into this special couple’s special photographs.  If you want to view all of the images click this LINK.

Avery and Will chose two wonderful venues for their wedding celebration.  The ceremony was held at the always beautiful Alamo Heights Methodist Church.  It is truly one of the special places to exchange vows.  For the celebration afterwards the ever elegant McNay Art Museum hosted Avery, Will and all of their guests for dinner and dancing.  This wonderful night was coordinated by Maria Morgan.  A special thanks to her.  Mark Del Prado Floral Design was responsible for turning the ballroom into a magical vision for Will and Avery.  Their special guests were treated to a wonderful dinner prepared by Page Barteau Catering.  In lieu of the traditional wedding cake dinner was topped off with and array of delicious desserts.  I hope you enjoy viewing a few of the special moments in the special day of such a special couple.  It was a joy for Heather and me to capture the evening for them.

Last Saturday Morgan and Cole exchanged their vows at the historic Mission Concepcion.  They both looked radiant as they committed their lives to one another.  The weather was glorious – a definite welcomed relief from the sweltering summer months.  Morgan began her day at the San Antonio Country Club where she prepared to meet Cole.  Once dressed the two of them met for a quiet moment alone before the excitement of the day actually began.  After capturing a few romantic and formal images at the club we all headed to the mission for the most important part of the day–the ceremony.  Mission Concepcion has been recently renovated and it truly was a gorgeous site to exchange their vows.  Afterwards buses caravanned back to SACC for a wonderful reception to celebrate their union The evening included dinner and dancing throughout the night.  The cool crisp evening made the outdoor reception delightful.   RTC floristry made the club sing with beauty.  As always the dinner was impeccably prepared and overseen by SACC’s ever fastidious Wesley.  The guests were entertained by the sounds of The Texas Unlimited Band.  A special thanks to Betty Parish of The Wedding Planners for seeing that all of Morgan and Cole’s plans came off perfectly. I hope you enjoy viewing a few of the special images from the day. Should you wish to view all of the wedding images just click this LINK.

The drought was broken but not the spirits of Natalie and TJ.  Nothing could quell the jubilance and joy of these two on their wedding day.  I can not remember a Saturday that hasn’t been sunny and hot.  But this weekend rain was in the forecast and rain it did.  We had to alter our shooting arrangements and find some new and exciting areas in which to photograph, but it was exciting and I think we came up with some wonderful images of a beautiful couple.  The ceremony was a wonderfully spiritual event at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church that bound Natalie and TJ for life.  After the wedding we traveled to The Pearl Stables to be treated to a wonderful dinner created by Richard Ojeda’s A Black Tie Affair.  The celebration continued throughout the evening with dancing to the sounds of The Nick Lawrence Band.  I hope you enjoy the few images presented here.  If you want to view the entire collection click this LINK.

The United Methodist Church of Boerne was the site of Amy and Josh’s wedding this past weekend. Because of Amy and Josh’s San Antonio and Boerne connections the church was filled to capacity to witness this moving ceremony. After their vows were spoken everyone took the short drive to The Don Strange Ranch in Welfare, Texas, and were treated to a delicious dinner by the wonderful staff at the ranch. Sue of Alamo Plants and Petals turned the ranch into a dazzling spectacle with her creative hand at floral design. Being an evening reception her wonderful designs needed to be lit and thanks to John Kerney of Event Ignition each arrangement was individually lit to highlight its beauty. After cake cutting the rest of the evening was spent dancing to the magical sounds of The Works band of Houston, TX. I hope you enjoy a small collection of the images to highlight the day.
